YOYOGI DUPLEX

Yoyogi House is the renovation of a small duplex apartment for a family of four. The upper floor, originally designed as a loft with very limited ceiling height, presented the challenge of making the most of a compact space.

Our proposal focused on freeing up the lower floor to create the largest possible open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, while placing the bedrooms upstairs. Here, the main bedroom is complemented by an anteroom for the children—a flexible space that can also be used as a play area during the day. A small home that required imagination to make the most of every square metre and adapt to the family’s daily life.
